Dr. John Gibney has been in plastic surgery practice in Scottsdale since 1977 and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery; the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify plastic surgeons.
Dr. Gibney has delivered many presentations about Plastic Surgery at scientific meetings both nationally and internationally. He has been granted a patent for a device designed to act as a ventricular assist or replacement. He is an adjuvant Professor in biomedical engineering at Arizona State University. Dr. Gibney has published articles in several medical journals and has co-authored medical textbooks. He was recognized in 1989 by Good Housekeeping magazine as one of the best breast reconstruction surgeons in the nation.
